Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Member of National Assembly and Chairman of Public Accounts Committee Noor Alam Khan categorically refused to vote in favor of the Supplementary Finance Bill.
Speaking in the National Assembly session, Noor Alam Khan said that I saw two people benefiting in Pakistan, a finance minister opened his bank, increasing from twelve hundred to thirty six hundred bags of flour, you if If they benefit the manufacturers, they are not doing us a favor.
He said, “If you want to take taxes, take them from the manufacturers, medicine has become expensive, electricity is given to officers and the bill is taken from the poor, there is no electricity 24 hours a day, officers are taking 66,600,000 salaries, floods.” The debts of the victims are not being forgiven.
Noor Alam Khan said that “Pakistan is a country where all taxes are taxes, tax collection agencies are thieves, I want to ask the finance minister under which law to negotiate with the dollar mafia, how dollars, urea, flour went to Afghanistan.” Yes, my country is Pakistan, my poor should get flour and urea, the agreements made with the IMF should come to this House’.
The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee announced that he would not vote for the Supplementary Finance Bill under any circumstances.
On the other hand, Jamaat-e-Islami leader and member of the National Assembly Maulana Abdul Kabar Chitrali said that this bill is being brought to make Pakistan a slave, we are geographically free but financially we are slaves of America.
