World Cup;  New Zealand easily defeated Bengal Tigers by 8 wickets

Masonry: In the 11th match of the ICC World Cup, New Zealand won another victory by easily defeating Bangladesh by 8 wickets. Bengal Tigers set a target of 246 runs, which the Kiwis achieved with the loss of two wickets in the first 43 balls.

In the match played at the Chennai Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh batted first and the openers failed once again. Latin Das returned to the pavilion for 0 on the very first ball of the match while Tanzid Hasan 6, Mehdi Hasan Miraz 30 and Najamul Hasan 7, Tawheed Hardoy 13. Tasin Ahmad was outstanding by scoring 11 runs. Captain Shakib-ul-Hasan and Mushfiq-ul-Rahim put on a partnership of 96 runs for the fifth wicket, but Shakib-ul-Hasan scored 40 runs and Mushfiq-ul-Rahim got out after scoring 66 runs.

Bangladesh set a target of 246 runs to the New Zealand team for the loss of 9 players while playing the entire over.

For New Zealand, Lockie Ferguson took 3 wickets, Trent Boult and Matt Henry took two each, Mitchell Santner and Glenn Phillips took one wicket each.

Then captain Williamson, batting unstoppably and responsibly, put on a 102-run partnership with Daryl Mitchell. On this occasion, Williamson retired hurt after scoring 78 runs, Derry Mitchell at the other end batted brilliantly and ended the match with Glenn Phillips 43 balls early.

On behalf of New Zealand, Derry Mitchell scored 89 and Williamson scored 78 runs. Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan took one wicket each.

Earlier, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to field first.

On this occasion, Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan said that they want to set a big target against the Kiwis, they will try to win the match and bring the team on the track of victory.
