The first statement of Pakistani sports presenter Zainab Abbas after leaving India came out.

In a post shared on social media website X, Zainab Abbas said, “I have always considered myself very lucky to have the opportunity to travel for my favorite sport and my stay in India was pleasant and the attitude of the people was kind.” .

Zainab Abbas says that I was neither asked to leave India nor deported. I wasn’t in immediate danger there but was scared of the backlash against me on the internet. My family and friends on both sides of the border were also worried about this situation.

Zainab Abbas apologized for her posts and said that I can understand the pain caused by these posts and regret it. It may be remembered that Zainab Abbas had arrived in India to perform her duties as a presenter in the Cricket World Cup, but she faced continuous pressure in India after which she left India on October 9 as a precautionary measure.

Sources close to Zainab Abbas confirmed her arrival in Dubai from India and said that she took this step after the advice of her family and other broadcasters.

A lawyer in India filed a case against Zainab Abbas accusing her of posting anti-India tweets, which were posted by Zainab Abbas several years ago.
