Karachi: In the biggest Jinnah Hospital of Shahr Quaid, operations of the gynecological department have been canceled due to severe shortage of doctors, nurses and medical staff, due to which pregnant women are facing severe difficulties during delivery.
According to the details, the shortage of staff and surgeons in Jinnah Hospital, Karachi’s largest government health center under Sindh Health Department, has affected the medical facilities of the hospital. .
The Executive Director (ED) of the hospital, Dr. Shahid Rasool, said that patients come from all over the country in Jinnah Hospital, in the past, there were 1100 beds in the hospital, now there are 2208 beds in the hospital, the problems are intensifying due to lack of staff. are doing, but I have sent the request to the higher authorities so that the matter can be resolved soon.
He said that women were facing difficulties due to cancellation of operations, while according to the Jinnah Hospital administration, the hospital is facing shortage of nursing staff, doctors and consultants due to which many deliveries are being affected.
Pregnant women visiting the hospital appealed to the authorities to resolve the issue as soon as possible as Jinnah Hospital is providing health facilities to a large population of the province.
