Peshawar: The provincial government has immediately terminated the associate degree program in all colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On the recommendation of the Caretaker Cabinet, the Higher Education Department also issued an official declaration, which stated that the 2-year Associate Degree Program was launched in 2013-12 by the then Provincial Govt.
The statement said that the associate degree program was started due to non-initiation of BS program in the colleges of the province, in which the interest of the students remained low.
According to Higher Education, the associate degree program has been discontinued in all colleges due to lack of interest from students.
