Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced track and trace system in tobacco, sugar, cement and fertilizer sector since last year.
According to the FBR spokesperson, the aim of track and trace system is to detect the sale of goods without paying tax, this system also prevents the sale of fake goods in the market.
The spokesman said that the public should be encouraged to purchase FBR stamped items, as payment on various items can be verified by scanning the mark.
The spokesman said that the tax payment verification app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, and the public can point out items on which tax has not been paid.
