Karachi: A woman’s body, which could not be identified, was found in a bag lying on the bank of a river in Liaquatabad Lime Depot area of Shahr Quaid.
On the information, the police reached the spot and took the body out of the bag and took it to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy, but due to the absence of the female MLO, the autopsy could not be carried out.
SHO Supermarket Akhlaq Ahmed said that due to the absence of Lady MLO, the dead body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary, which will be transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital again at 11 am and postmortem will be done after that. Only more details will be revealed.
He said that the deceased could not be identified immediately and her age is said to be around 28 to 30 years, but efforts are being made to identify her with the help of biometric system.
According to the SHO, marks of tying a rope on the victim’s hand and indigo near the eyes were found while the woman was wearing a dark blue flowered shalwar kameez.
