Karachi: The Express Tribune journalist was robbed of mobile phones, cash and original identity card among other belongings by motorcycle-borne armed robbers near Sohrab Goth Al-Asif Square.
According to the details, between Sunday and Monday night, Express Tribune sub-editor Mohammad Amir was going from his office to his residence in Scheme 33 after finishing his duty and as soon as he approached Sohrab Goth-ul-Asif Square, 2 armed men on a motorcycle. The robbers snatched his bag at gunpoint.
The seized bag contained 2 mobile phones, their chargers, cash, original National Identity Card and ATM card among other items. On the other hand, the traditional indifference of the Sohrab Goth police made the sub-editor, the victim of the robbery, dizzy and later stopped by filing a computerized missing identity card report.
On the one hand, despite the clear instructions of IG Sindh and Karachi Police Chief to file a case immediately, the police is busy in covering up the crime incidents. After the incident, Express Tribune sub-editor Sachal went to the police station where he was told that the incident took place within the limits of Sohrab Goth police station, on which he went to Sohrab Goth police station.
