The Peshawar High Court, upholding the decision of the provincial government to cancel the MD CAT test, issued an order to conduct the test again in six weeks and disposed of the writ petitions filed in this regard.
Justice Abdul Shakur and Justice Syed Arshad Ali of Peshawar High Court issued a reserved judgment on the petitions a few days ago. Which is written by Justice Syed Arshad Ali.
The decision upheld the provincial government’s decision to re-conduct the test in 6 weeks and stated that according to the JIT report, the test used extensive modern electronic equipment. The provincial government’s GIT exposed massive duplication.
It has been written in the court judgment that after the GIT report, the government decided to conduct the test again, after the approval of the cabinet, it cannot interfere in the matter, so as per the decision of the cabinet, it should be ensured that the transparent test is conducted within 6 weeks.
It should be noted that after the incidents of cheating in the test, the provincial government had decided to re-conduct the test, but during this time, if many applications were filed in the Peshawar High Court for the re-conduct of the test, on the other hand, the candidates who were successful in the test could not take the test. Petitions were filed in the Peshawar High Court not to re-organise.
