Money laundering of 13 billion rupees has been revealed in Karachi under the guise of solar panel imports.
Directorate post-clearance audit exposes 6 more fake solar panels companies
According to the report, fake companies transferred Rs 13 billion worth of black money abroad under the guise of solar panels, 3 of the 6 fake companies are from Karachi and the other 3 are from Quetta.
According to the document, 6 fictitious companies submitted 687 goods declarations for the clearance of imported solar panels, overinvoicing 443 goods declarations and money laundering of Rs. 13 billion worth of solar panels.
FBR officials say that the Customs Post Clearance Audit team has registered 6 new cases and formed teams for arrests, arrested the owner of a bogus company and taken 6 days remand from the court.
Officials have said that mafias misused green channel for customs clearance of solar panels, mafias have started aligning against FBR on crackdown on solar panels, money laundering.
