Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf North Punjab President Sadaqat Abbasi granted interim bail in the GHQ attack case, appeared with the lawyer for biometric verification and left after granting the bail.

The provincial president of Tehreek-e-Insaf North Punjab, who has been absent from public view for several days, appeared in the special anti-terrorism court of Rawalpindi at the last minute of court and applied for interim bail in the GHQ attack case.

Judge Malik Asif Hayat of the Anti-Terrorism Court granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000 and issued a notice to SHO RA Bazar and asked for complete records on October 10.

In the case, serious provisions of terrorism, sedition, encirclement and arson have been imposed against the Tehreek-e-Insaf leader.
