The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) offices in India were cracked down on the second day by the government for showing a documentary against Narendra Modi.
According to Indian media, the Income Tax Department searched the BBC offices on the second day as well.
In this regard, the Indian media has to say that the BBC bureaus in Mumbai and Delhi have been searched.
Phones, laptops and documents of journalists were seized in a raid yesterday.
It should be noted that the BBC had aired a documentary on Modi’s role in the Gujarat riots a few weeks ago.
This BBC documentary highlights the role of then minister Narendra Modi in the 2002 communal riots in the state of Gujarat in which more than 1,000 minority Muslims were massacred.
