In a statement issued by the Pakistan Business Council, it has been said that the efforts against the misuse of Afghan transit are a source of happiness.
In the declaration, it was said that clothes, cosmetics, tires, black tea, fruits, household goods were being smuggled into Pakistan through Afghan transit trade, misuse of Afghan transit trade was making the country’s economy, industrial workforce unemployed.
The country was also losing duties and taxes due to misuse of Afghan transit trade, Pakistan Business Council has been advocating for quality control of these sensitive commodities.
PBC’s statement further said that the commodities procured in transit trade should be in accordance with the demand of Afghanistan, the scope of raw materials procured in Afghan transit trade should be examined, the raw materials of industries which are not in Afghanistan Goods are also coming into the transit trade.
