Islamabad: Chairman PTI Imran Khan filed an application in the court against the jail trial of the cipher case.
In the petition, Imran Khan has requested the Ministry of Law to stop issuing the notification of jail trial in future.
The position taken in the petition is that the judgment of the trial court in the Islamabad High Court against the transfer of the Attock Jail is reserved and while the petition is pending, the Ministry of Law issued a similar notification, the Ministry of Law issued a NOC that Adiala No objection to trial in jail.
According to the petitioner, the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Law was challenged in the Islamabad High Court. The High Court should decide whether the Ministry of Law can issue such a notification. The High Court should decide whether the trial judge will be bound by the notification of the Ministry of Law.
It is requested that a reserved decision be pronounced on the main application.
