Unknown persons attacked police personnel outside Insaf House, tore their uniforms

Karachi: Unknown motorcycle-riding persons attacked the security personnel outside Shariah Faisal Insaf House.

Armed with batons, the assailants assaulted two personnel on security duty, tortured them and tore their uniforms.

The assailants pelted stones at the police mobile and opened fire while escaping. The police recovered the weapons during the search.

According to the details, the policemen posted on security duty outside the Insaf House on Shahrah Faisal within the limits of Tipu Sultan police station were attacked by motorcyclists armed with sticks, sticks and weapons.

According to the police, the number of assailants was 20 to 25, the armed men tore the uniforms of 2 policemen while handcuffing them, the assailants also tried to snatch weapons from the policemen.

The attackers also pelted stones on the patrolling police mobile. The attackers were shouting slogans of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Zindabad and demanding the release of Chairman Imran Khan. As more police forces arrived, the assailants fled, pelting stones and firing.

After the escape of the accused, the police searched the area and recovered a 30 bore pistol and 4 rounds.

Tipu Sultan Police, on the instructions of the higher officers, registered a case of the incident in the complaint of ASI Shimoon Daniyal, charge sheet No. 342/2023 under sections 147, 148, 149, 353 and 186 against 20 to 25 unknown accused. Provisions for rioting, vandalism, interference with government and assault on police personnel have been added.

According to the text of the FIR, the assailants tortured officials Adil and Gul Faraz, the people armed with sticks created a commotion and pelted stones. The investigation is ongoing.
