Karachi: The Government of Sindh has taken important steps for the return of illegal immigrants by establishing implementation committees at the provincial, divisional and district levels.
The Sindh Home Department has issued notifications of three committees for the expulsion of illegal immigrants, according to which the convener of the Provincial Immigrants’ Return Committee will be the Additional Chief Secretary Home.
According to the notification, the convener of the divisional committee will be the commissioners and the convener of the district committee will be the deputy commissioners, while the implementation committee for the return of foreign migrants will consist of police, core headquarters, IB, NADRA, FIA, ISI, MI and Commissioner Afghan Asylum. Representatives of Gazans are also involved.
The committees will collect data on unregistered immigrants and be responsible for taking measures to prevent their deportation and immigration.
These committees will also monitor the issues of prevention of foreign residents in provincial borders and urban areas.
