Rawalpindi: Security forces acted on a tip-off in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during which 10 terrorists were killed in a fierce exchange of fire from two sides.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), it has been stated that on October 3, 2023, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation on the information of the presence of terrorists in Pizo, a general area of Tank district.
During the operation, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists, as a result of which 10 terrorists were killed.
According to ISPR, the slain terrorists were involved in several acts of terrorism against the security forces as well as extortion and killing of innocent civilians. A huge amount of arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered during the operation.
According to ISPR, Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country, the residents of the area have appreciated the security forces for the operation against terrorists.
