Lahore: In the investigation of the kidney transplant scam in Punjab, important revelations have come out, according to which a mechanic operated on several people in the absence of a doctor.
According to the details, the suspects involved in the 8-member gang arrested in connection with the kidney scandal have made sensational revelations before the investigation team.
According to the police, during the investigation, it came to light that Dr. Fawad was the ringleader of the gang, in whose absence mechanic Naveed operated on patients, Naveed received training in kidney transplantation from Dr. Fawad.
The investigation also revealed that Dr. Fawad’s frontman Shaukat performed kidney surgeries on people from 65 countries. The eight-member gang includes Sonia, a health worker, and her husband, Waheed Zafar, who manages real estate and kidney dealers.
In the investigation, it was revealed that the accused Farooq and Liaqat got membership in the gang by selling their kidney, while Liaqat bought the kidneys of fifteen more people.
According to the police, investigation is going on with other arrested persons including Dr. Fawad.
It should be noted that a day ago caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi told in a press conference that the police not only tracked down the group involved in illegal kidney transplant but also arrested 8 members.
