Islamabad: One person was killed while two escaped in an exchange of fire between the police and three persons on a motorcycle in Mouz Tamir of Nellore police station on the outskirts of the federal capital.
The police spokesperson says that the robbers opened fire on the police in Mouza Tamir when the police team was checking by installing a bridge that pointed to a suspicious motorcycle.
Three suspects on a motorcycle suddenly opened fire on the police team. The police team was safe due to security measures. The spokesman further said that one suspect was killed by the firing of his own colleagues while the two suspects escaped.
A search operation is going on in the area to arrest the absconding accused while the dead accused is being identified.
