Cairo: A 20-year-old girl gave birth to a baby girl named Shamsa on a high-speed train in Egypt.
According to Arab media, the train was running at its full speed towards the destination and at the same time the 20-year-old girl started having labor pains and started screaming as the train had no arrangements to deal with the situation.
The 20-year-old pregnant girl was lucky in that a male gynecologist, Dr. Islam Abu Shama, and his wife, a pediatrician, were present in the train at that time.
These doctors appealed to the passengers that if there is any paramedical staff, they should come forward in this hour of difficulty. This announcement of doctors was made in all the boxes and two nurses were found who helped the doctors.
After talking to the driver, the doctors stopped the train for some time and converted a compartment into a temporary labor room in which the 20-year-old girl gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Both mother and child are doing well.
The spirit of Dr. Islam Abu Shama and his wife is being appreciated on social media and there is also a demand to award them with a national award.
