Karachi: Thanks to the aggressive batting of former Test all-rounder Abdul Razzaq, Pakistan defeated Australia by 252 runs to reach the final of the Veterans Global Cup.

In the first semi-final played at the National Stadium, Pakistan veterans scored 400 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 45 overs. Abdul Razzaq batted aggressively and played an innings of 195 runs off 112 balls which included 22 fours and 11 sixes.

Opener Amjad Ali also scored 103 runs off 102 balls with the help of one six and 12 fours while scoring a century. Fanwat Abbas scored 67 runs off 23 balls. Chasing the target, the Australian team was bowled out for 148 runs in just 27.5 overs.

Spinner Abdul Qadir once again bowled well and took 5 wickets.

In the second semi-final played at NBP Sports Complex, West Indies defeated USA by 3 wickets.

The American team, playing first, reached the pavilion after adding 148 runs in 37.1 overs. Mahendra Naga Moto took 6 wickets, in reply West Indies achieved the target for the loss of 7 wickets.

On the other hand, in the playoffs, United Arab Emirates defeated Canada by 3 wickets at the South End Club, while Hong Kong defeated Nepal by 8 wickets at the Moin Khan Ground. There will be competitions for various positions on Sunday.

The final between Pakistan and West Indies will be played at the National Stadium on Monday. After the finals, a closing ceremony will be held at a local hotel on Monday night.
