A major reduction in the prices of petroleum products has been announced, petrol has become cheaper by Rs 8 per litre.
Ministry of Finance has issued notification of new prices of petrol, diesel, new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from 12 pm tonight.
According to the notification, the price of petrol per liter has been reduced by Rs 8, after which the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 323 38 paise per litre.
The price of diesel has been reduced by Rs 11 per litre, the new price of high speed diesel has been set at Rs 318.18 paise per litre.
The price of light diesel has been reduced by Rs 7 77 paise per litre, while kerosene has become cheaper by Rs 7 53 paise.
The Ministry of Finance says that due to the decrease in the prices of petroleum products in the global market, the prices were reduced, and the improvement in the value of the rupee also led to the decision to reduce the prices of petroleum products.
