Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has achieved the tax target for September.

According to the statement of FBR, in the first quarter of this financial year, 63 billion rupees were collected more than the target, 2041 billion rupees were collected against the target of 1978 billion rupees for the first quarter.

According to the statement, FBR made extraordinary efforts to meet the revenue target in September.

The statement said that 834 billion rupees were collected during September 2023 against the target of 794 billion rupees. Refunds of 37 billion rupees have also been issued during this month.

According to FBR, only 254 billion rupees of import tax could be collected in September 2023 due to reduction in imports. 45 billion shortfall in import taxes was compensated by domestic taxes.

According to the statement, FBR is determined to achieve the target in the remaining months of this financial year as well.
