Indian players take injections, chief selector's alarming revelation

Karachi: Indian chief selector Chetan Sharma has revealed that some Indian players take performance-enhancing injections to stay fit.

In a sting operation conducted by the Indian media, Chetan Sharma was found stating that Indian athletes are very knowledgeable about dope tests and know how to avoid being caught.

According to Indian media, Chetan Sharma said that Indian cricket team players take injections to stay 100% fit, even if they are 80% fit. These injections are not pain-relieving. These injections contain drugs that cannot be detected in a dope test. Players take the injection and start playing.

He further said that Jasprit Bumrah could not bend down due to a major injury. Apart from them, there are a couple of other players who take injections and say that they are fit to play.

It should be noted that Jasprit Bumrah has been suffering from a back injury for a long time due to which he was also ruled out of the ICCT20 World Cup 2022.
