Chandigarh: In India, more than 150 household items were recovered from the stomach of a person suffering from stomach pain.
According to Indian media, after examining a 40-year-old man suffering from abdominal pain, fever and nausea at a local hospital in the city of Moga in the Indian state of Punjab, it was revealed to the doctors that there are household items in his stomach.
After a 3-hour long operation, the doctors removed more than 150 household items from the victim’s stomach. These items include buttons, earphones, safety pins, nuts and bolts, among others. The victim was ill for a month.
After the operation, the victim was put on life support, but he died. According to doctors, the metal objects in the stomach cause severe infection. The family members of the deceased have expressed ignorance as to how and when they ingested these items.
