Tokyo: Japanese woman Hiromi and her husband Hidekazu Takeda have been married for many years and have a child together, but they have been living an hour away from each other since their wedding day.

The BBC recently ran a story on separatist married couple Hiromi and Hidekazu, in which Hiromi describes herself as a strong, independent woman who is a fitness trainer and gym manager, while Hidekazu is a business consultant who spends most of his time in front of a computer, answering emails and writing reports.
