Peshawar: Before the explosion at the mosque in Hangu, police clashed with the terrorists, sparing worshipers with heavy casualties.
According to the sources, 2 suicide attackers in a car had arrived to enter the mosque, where one of the attackers was killed outside the mosque in an exchange of fire with the police officers on duty.

2 police officers were injured in the exchange of fire. Hearing the gunshots, most of the worshipers managed to leave the mosque, while at the same time, another suicide bomber managed to enter the mosque.
If the attackers were not stopped in time, there would have been a massive loss of life as more than 30 worshipers were present in the mosque at the time of the blast. Due to the exchange of fire, the worshipers became alert and secured themselves.
