Islamabad: Cybercrime Circle Islamabad arrested 5 suspects including 4 foreigners of the gang involved in financial fraud.
According to the Cybercrime spokesman, 4 of the arrested suspects belong to Nigeria, while the arrested suspects have been identified as Eddie Azubke, Donatus Chibekeo, Geoffrey Amobi, Onyobsi Anthony and Muhammad Taslim.
According to the spokesman, the accused were arrested from Shams Colony, Islamabad, the arrested accused used to extort money from ordinary citizens by pretending to give gifts through Facebook, the accused used to trap them by pretending to be female citizens of different foreign countries.
According to spokesperson Cyber Crime Circle Islamabad The accused used to contact with the lure of gifts and extorted money in the name of customs, delivery charges, the accused stole more than 13 lakh rupees from the complainant, the accused transferred the said amount in different bank accounts, the accused further collected the gifts. They were also demanding money.
He said that 4 mobile phones were recovered from the possession of the accused and a case was registered against them under the PICA Act.
