Extreme heat in Karachi, mercury likely to go up to 41 degrees

Karachi: After a few days of windy weather, the city of Quaid is once again experiencing extreme heat and humidity, while the mercury is likely to reach 41 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological department has predicted severe heat wave due to hot and dry weather in the city. In this regard, it has been informed that the mercury may exceed 40 degrees during the next 3 to 4 days.

According to the forecast, the mercury may rise by one more degree to 41 degree Celsius on Saturday. During a heat wave, sea breezes may remain suspended for a short time in the afternoon. Meanwhile, northwesterly winds of hot desert Balochistan are expected to blow in Karachi.

Sea breezes are likely to resume in the evening. The weather in South Sindh is likely to be hot, very hot and dry. In Hyderabad, Thatta, Sajawal, Badin, Umarkot and Tharparkar, mercury may also exceed 40 degrees.
