Pyongyang: Travis King, a black American soldier who crossed the border from South Korea and entered North Korea, was deported due to discriminatory and defamatory treatment.

According to the World News Agency, US Army Travis King armed with weapons entered North Korea in the middle of this year and was immediately arrested.

Tyus King served two months in South Korea for an attack on a village south of the Korean Armistice Area and was released on July 10 and sent home to Texas, where he will undergo additional military discipline and service. He could have faced an investigation on leave.

The US official was escorted through customs but somehow left the airport before boarding his plane and was captured hours later crossing the border into North Korea.

It is not yet clear what he spent the few hours between disappearing from the airport and being captured in North Korea.

The spokesperson of the North Korean army says that the investigation against the American soldier has been closed and he was deported after receiving evidence that he was not an enemy of the country and national security.

During the investigation, the US soldier admitted that he deliberately crossed the border illegally into North Korea because he suffered from discrimination and demeaning treatment by his fellow servicemen and officers.
