Karachi: Sirjani Town Police has arrested the mastermind accused of killing the councilor of Jamaat-e-Islami and injuring the official.
According to the details, Sarjani Town Police, acting on a tip-off, arrested the mastermind of the incident, Imtiaz alias Joni son of Mumtaz.
According to SSP West Mehzoor Ali, Jamaat-e-Islami Councilor Muhammad Habib was killed while an official named Syed Adnan was injured as a result of firing in Sarjani Sector BC on September 7 over a dispute over electricity poles.

A case of the incident was registered in Sarjani Police Station under Section 302/324/365/34 under Charge No. 826/2023.
During the investigation, the arrested accused has admitted that he planned the incident due to personal interests. The accused was arrested under the rules and handed over to the investigating authorities for legal action.
Actions are on to arrest other absconding suspects involved in the incident.
