Rawalpindi: Strict action will be taken if former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed is not extradited by October 2, Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench has given the police the last deadline.
In the Rawalpindi Bench of Lahore High Court, the case of former Interior Minister and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed was heard, in which the court inquired that you had asked for a week, tell me what is the progress? The court reprimanded Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Khurram Ali.
Sheikh Rasheed’s lawyer told the court during the hearing that the police are contacting and offering that Sheikh Rasheed should give a statement that he went on his own, then he will be released. All the security guards who live near the area are also witnesses of the arrest.
The court asked the RPO that you give an affidavit that they (three persons including Sheikh Rasheed) are not police pass? The court remarked that if the three hostages are recovered from Rawalpindi, legal action will be taken against them.
The lawyer said that Sheikh Rasheed’s nephew Sheikh Shakir, employee Imran has nothing to do with politics, let him alone.
The court said that they are giving the last respite, and they will not call anyone, they will issue the RPO. Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan said that strict legal action will be taken if it is not recovered by October 2.
