Islamabad: The Chief Justice of Pakistan has remarked during the hearing of the case that mind you, the trend of taking history from the Supreme Court will not work anymore.
The hearing of the case related to the land dispute was held in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, in which Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa remarked that he should remove the notion from his mind that he will go to the Supreme Court and take history.
The Chief Justice said in his remarks that there is a message for everyone that the trend of taking history will not continue. The number of pending cases in the Supreme Court is quite high. Here, there should be notices on one date and arguments on the next date.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court further said that in other courts it happens that a date is given for presenting a document. If a case comes to the Supreme Court, all its papers should be completed.
A 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa heard the case. Later, the court rejected the request for adjournment of the case.
