Hong Kong: A new study suggests that exercising between 7 am and 9 am can play an important role in weight control.
Although experts disagree about the best times to exercise, new research has found that early in the day is the best time to increase the association between moderate-to-vigorous exercise and obesity.
In the study, researchers evaluated 5,285 people. These people were divided into exercise groups in the morning, afternoon and evening. In the morning group, there were 642 people aged 10 to 13 years. This group was younger than the other two groups.
The results of the study revealed that people who met the guidelines for morning physical activity (150 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity) had lower body mass index and waist measurements than members of other groups. was
According to Assistant Professor Tongyu Ma from The Hong Kong University’s Department of Health Sciences, the research provides a new way to examine daily physical activity and assess its effects on health.
In the study, people who exercised in the morning also reported a healthier diet and consumed fewer calories than those who exercised later in the day.
According to the results, those who exercised in the morning spent a greater amount of time sitting or lying down than others. But it also came to the knowledge of the experts that despite all this, the lower body mass index and waist measurement of these people remained intact.
