Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor made a big revelation about his hit film ‘Haider’ and said that it was done by me for free.
According to an Indian media report, Shahid Kapoor revealed that he did not take any compensation for working in the famous film Haider released in 2014.
Indian director Vishal Bhardwaj completed the film Haider in just 53 days on a budget of 35 crores, which grossed over 80 crores at the box office.
Shahid Kapoor, Tabu, KK Menon, Shraddha Kapoor and Irrfan Khan played the lead roles in this film.
Shahid Kapoor who has debuted on the digital platform with the series ‘Fajfi’. He revealed during an interview that at the time Vishal Bhardwaj was making the film on a budget, my remuneration was more than that.
He added that Vishal Bhardwaj told about the film’s budget being short, so I gave up my payment.
The actor also said that I was told that the film is experimental in nature, if you get paid, there will be no budget to make Haider.
Shahid Kapoor said that the makers of the film were not sure of its success but it was a great project so I agreed to do it for free.
During the interview when Shahid Kapoor was asked if he left his salary for any other film. At this, the actor laughed and said that one has to run the house too, this happened only for Haider.
