The botanist discovered a technique to grow millions of trees in a short space of time

Edinburgh: A botanist in Scotland has discovered a technique to grow millions of trees in a short space of time.

According to the details, in an experiment conducted at the Crop Research Center in Scotland, it has been revealed that plants planted in a vertical farm under a closed space or roof grow 6 times faster than plants grown under the open sky.

Kenny Hay, a specialist in the management of public forests in Scotland, said in this regard that he planted broad-leaved plants and after 3 months they grew 40 to 50 cm tall, while the same plants grown under the open sky were the same. Length is achieved in 18 months.

According to manager Kenny Hay, much more needs to be done to mitigate climate change, and that means improving tree planting practices, and ensuring a supply of high-quality tree seeds.

He said that by following the technique he discovered, millions of trees can be grown in a very small area.

It should be noted that planting more trees for timber and biodiversity benefits is critical to addressing the combined climate and biodiversity crisis.
