Rawalpindi: In Dera Ismail Khan, security forces killed one terrorist and injured another during the operation.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), security forces conducted an operation in Kalachi area of Dera Ismail on a tip-off about the presence of terrorism.
Meanwhile, the terrorists opened fire on the forces after which the personnel retaliated.
One terrorist was killed while the other was injured in a fierce exchange of fire from two sides. Arms, gunpowder and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of terrorists.
According to ISPR, the dead and injured terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces and other crimes including killing of civilians.
According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Army, the local people appreciated the security forces for the operation against the terrorists and assured their full cooperation.
