Lahore: Before the World Cup, the Pak New Zealand warm-up match in Hyderabad will be held behind closed doors.

Before the World Cup, the Pakistan and New Zealand teams will test their preparations in a practice match in Hyderabad on September 29. Spectators will not be allowed in the scheduled match at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium.

The city police had told the Hyderabad Cricket Association that it would be difficult to provide security due to religious festivals, so the match should be shifted elsewhere.

On the other hand, ICC and BCCI had finalized the schedule after some changes, the change of venue was not possible due to logistical problems, so the solution to the problem was that both teams warm up without crowd. Play the match.

A BCCI official confirmed that the Pakistan and New Zealand teams will be in action behind closed doors, adding that a refund schedule will be issued soon for fans who have purchased tickets.

It should be remembered that in the World Cup, Hyderabad will host the match between New Zealand and the Netherlands on October 9. The next day, the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will also be played at the same venue.

According to the police officials, a strict security fence will be established in these matches, more than 3 thousand personnel will be on duty, additional personnel will be posted outside the Pakistan team hotel.
