On the eleventh day of the ‘Pakistan Theater Festival’ at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Ajoka Theater Group presented an interesting play in the context of the events that took place after the Indo-Pak War.
The title of the play presented in Punjabi language by Ajuka Theater Group in ‘Pakistan Theater Festival’ is ‘Anhi Mai Dasufna’.
The director and writer of this play was Shahid Nadeem while the cast of the play included Naseem Abbas, Usman, Razia, Malik Qaiser, Usman Zia, Bilal Mughal, Shahzad Sadiq, Rizwan Riaz, Mudassar, Rania Mohsin, Haifa.
The drama was an inspiring true story of the disastrous Partition of 1947, set in the context of the humanitarian events that followed the Indo-Pak War.
The play tells the story of a blind woman and an elderly dyer who were separated from their loved ones during partition and now cross the border to visit their homeland only in dreams.
Not only that, but the audience also enjoyed the live music in the play.
Spectators thronged the theater in large numbers to watch the play and appreciated the great performances of the artists.
