Municipal Factory Case;  Home secretary asked to bring Hamad Siddiqui back

Karachi: The Sindh High Court has ordered the Chief Secretary Sindh and the Federal Secretary or the Additional Secretary Interior to appear at the next hearing related to bringing back the fugitive accused Hamad Siddiqui in the Baldia Town Factory tragedy case.

A two-member bench headed by Justice KK Agha held a hearing regarding the return of Hamad Siddiqui, the accused in the Baldia Town Factory tragedy case, to Pakistan.

Despite the summons of the court, the Federal Interior Secretary, IG and Sindh Home Secretary did not appear. DIG South Asad Raza, Section Officer Ministry of Interior and Focal Person Sindh Home Department appeared.

Justice KK Agha remarked that 259 citizens died and no one realized it. Section Officer, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Interior said that several alerts were issued for the arrest of Hammad Siddiqui.

The federal government also issued a red warrant from Interpol for the arrest of Hamad Siddiqui.
