Karachi: Pakistan Customs Enforcement Karachi has foiled an attempt to send a large quantity of foreign cigarettes along with other smuggled goods to Karachi during an operation at Mochko Check Post as part of the anti-smuggling campaign.
The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization had received information that an attempt would be made to bring a large amount of smuggled goods from Quetta to Karachi. Plainclothes officials were deployed in different parts of Quetta who strictly monitored the buses, trucks and trawlers coming from Quetta.

Among the exported goods, 22540 packets of cigarettes of different foreign brands, 59600 pouches of Indian gutka, 2600 pouches of Indian snuff and 2 kg of harmful blisters were recovered.
