Islamabad: The High Court issued a notice to FIA on the post-arrest bail application of PTI chairman arrested in the cipher case and sought its response.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard PTI chairman’s bail application. Barrister Salman Safdar appeared on behalf of Chairman PTI.
On the repeated request of Chairman PTI’s lawyers for early hearing, the court remarked that the procedure is in place, according to which the bail application will be decided by next Monday.
The court issued a notice to the Federal Investigation Agency on the application and sought its response till the next hearing.
The Special Court of Official Secrets Act had rejected the bail application of Chairman PTI, after which he has approached the Islamabad High Court.
Chairman PTI is in jail on judicial remand till September 26. The special court has sought the challan of the case from the FIA.
