Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s ex-wife, producer, screenwriter and director Kiran Rao says that films based on reactionary ideas and messages make crores at the box office which is sad.
Karan Rao, the director of the film Dhobi Ghat, while the producer of films like Jaane To Ya Jaane Nah, Pipli Life, Dhobi Ghat, Delhi Belly, Taalha, Dangal, Secret Superstar, Robaro Roshni and Lal Singh Chadha, further said that we have Talked to the makers of such films and their actors, among others from the community, however, they were quite angry at such comments and defended such films.
While talking to the media during the Toronto Film Festival, Karan Rao did not name such films but said that such films do business and earn a lot which is a pity.
It should be noted that the senior and well-known Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah has also expressed similar views.
