Karachi: The Sindh High Court summoned the school administration and the DG Private Schools, preventing them from collecting Rs 30,000 from the parents on the petition against the increase in private school fees.

According to Express News, a hearing was held on the petition of the parents against increasing the school fees of children in a private school (Lahore Grammar School).

The petitioner’s counsel submitted that the new branch of the school was inaugurated in August 2022, the school management had asked for a 50% discount on the lifetime fee, and assured to provide other facilities including air-conditioned classrooms. .

The lawyer said that gradually the attitude of the school management changed, the management started making the children sit under the tin roof, complained and asked to protest, then the management asked to remove the children from the school, on which we asked the court. had approached, the Sindh High Court had stopped the expulsion of the children from the school.

The court remarked that the school management can only increase the old fee by 5% until the petition is decided.

The court also restrained the school management from collecting Rs 30,000 fee from the parents and remarked that the school management can only pay 5% of the fee, which is fixed by the Director General of Private Schools.

The court summoned the school administration and DG Private Schools for the next hearing.
