Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Jawan’ has been a worldwide success but has barely made it to the Tamil and Telugu belt.
According to Indian media reports, a single show of Jawan film in Tamil and Telugu circuit has earned less than 11 thousand.
According to recent reports, the Tamil and Telugu versions of Shahrukh’s blockbuster film did not garner much success, perhaps because of the badly dubbed version of the film.
Film business analysts are also surprised by the lack of reception of the film in Tamil and Telugu languages, which did not capture the attention of the crowd as expected.
14 thousand 300 from a Tamil language show of Jawan and 11 thousand 334 rupees from a Telugu show.
The film, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara along with Shah Rukh Khan, grossed 347 crores in the Hindi language, while the Tamil and Telugu versions grossed a total of 43.35 crores.
After Friday’s earnings, the film is expected to cross the Rs 400 crore mark in India, while its worldwide earnings have reached close to Rs 700 crore.
