A constable shot and killed sub-inspector Rana Shafiq Ahmed in Khyali police station in Gujranwala.
According to the initial information provided, Constable Younis shot Sub-Inspector Rana Shafiq for unknown reasons and escaped from the incident while City Police Officer Muhammad Ayaz Saleem took notice of the incident.
As soon as the information was received, CPO Mohammad Ayaz Saleem, SSP Operations and SSP Investigation reached the spot and the concerned officers collected evidence from the spot with the help of forensic mobile laboratory.
In this regard, it was informed that police teams under the supervision of SP City Ghiur Ahmed are active to arrest the accused, while SSP Operations has appointed an inquiry officer for the complete investigation of the matter.
CPO Gujranwala said that no one will be allowed to take the law into their hands and strict departmental and legal action will be taken against the officials involved.
