The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has said that bank deposits in August were 2 percent higher than July.
According to the SBP statement, the deposits of banks at the end of August are 26 thousand 110 billion rupees. Banks disbursed 1 percent less loans in August than in July.
At the end of August, the volume of loans provided by banks is 11 thousand 775 billion rupees. The investment of banks increased by 3% to 22 thousand 16 billion rupees in August.
According to the declaration, the investment of banks has increased by 21% from August 2022 to August 2023.
Advances of banks are 45% of its deposits, investment of banks is 84% of deposits of banks.
