Directed the High Court to decide the case related to sugar prices within 30 days

Islamabad: The Supreme Court directed the High Court to decide the case in 30 days regarding sugar prices.

A three-member bench headed by Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan heard the case against the federal government’s fixing of sugar prices.

The court directed that the High Court should hear the case on a daily basis and take a decision within 30 days.

Justice Ejaz-ul-Ahsan remarked that there is a case against the interim order of the High Court and yet the final decision has not come. Lawyer Shoggs Mills said the case is scheduled for September 20 in the High Court.

The Additional Attorney General said that the Supreme Court had ordered the sugar accused to submit the price difference to the court and the federal government had challenged the price fixing. is given The price was Rs 98 per kg but now sugar mills are selling at Rs 200. The court shall order the deposit of the difference in price to the registrar’s office.

Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan remarked that the High Court will decide after hearing what has been said in the case.
