Karachi: Ruthless bandits shot and killed 2 more civilians in Shahr Quaid and escaped.
The economic hub of Pakistan and the city of lights is being held hostage by robbers, where murders by robbers have become commonplace. 2 people were killed and 2 were injured due to firing by bandits near Hawkes Bay, North Karachi and Patel Para.
A person was killed by firing on a car near Hawks Bay Dua Hotel in Maripur area. The body of the deceased was shifted to Jinnah Hospital. According to the police, the suspect was identified as 25-year-old Shayan son of Sarwar Javed. At the time of the incident, the victim was going to the Hawke’s Bay beach for a picnic with his friends when the bandits tried to stop the car and opened fire when he did not stop, as a result of which Shiyan was injured and died shortly after.
On the other hand, a person was injured in the firing near Shell Petrol Pump in Sir Syed area, North Karachi Salem Center, and he was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital from where he was taken to Jinnah Hospital after first aid, but the injured could not be treated. According to the police, the victim was identified as 35-year-old Umar Jahanzeb son of Arif Jahanzeb. The deceased was a resident of Tesar Town, Sarjani and unmarried while working at a call center with his brother in Saddar.
Amir Ali, the brother of the victim, told the police in his statement that at the time of the incident, he was going home from work on a motorcycle with his brother, when the motorcycle-riding bandits tried to stop him with the intention of robbing, then Umar Jahanzeb kicked the bandits’ motorcycle. They tried to knock him down, on which the robbers fired at him and fled. The police handed over the dead body to the heirs after taking legal action.
Apart from this, the robbers opened fire and injured 2 people during the incident near Patel Para Hassanzai Hotel in Jamshed Quarter area and escaped after looting. The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital. According to the police, the injured were identified as 18-year-old Hussain son of Rohail and 27-year-old Ajaan son of Farhan.
The police have started investigating the incidents.
