South Africa women's team won the ODI series against Pakistan

Karachi: South Africa women’s cricket team defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in the second ODI match and won the series 0-2.

In the day and night match played at the National Stadium, South Africa achieved the target of 169 runs by losing 4 wickets in 34 overs. Teizman Burts played a key role in his team’s success, hitting 7 fours and a six in his innings of 45 runs.

Laura Goodall added 35 runs with the help of 5 fours, captain Laura scored 13 runs, Sun Luce who scored a century in the first match was the guest for 10 runs. Mary Zane Cape 29 and Nadine de Klerk remained not out with 24 runs, Sadia Iqbal took 2 wickets while Nida Dar and Umm Hani took 1 and 1 wicket respectively.

Earlier, Pakistan Women’s won the toss and batted first and were bundled out for 168 runs in 44.2 overs. Fatima Sana justified her inclusion in the team by playing a brilliant innings of 69 runs with the help of 10 fours. .

All-rounder Alia Riaz once again batted well and scored 53 runs including 3 fours, Sudara Amin managed to score 12 runs, 8 players failed to cross the decade mark.

Sudara Nawaz scored 7, captain Nida Dar 5, Basma Maruf and Muniba Ali scored 4 and 4 runs, Umm Hani and Nashera Sindhu scored 1 and 1 runs while Sadaf Shams and Sadia Iqbal scored zero runs. Mary Zane Kepp scored 3, Nadine de Klerk and Malaba 2, 2 players each. Merizin Cap was player of the match.
